WWII issue K98. May have been in storage until the mid sixties.
International out of Montreal and Alan Lever brought in several thousand of them in 1967. All brand new, old stock, covered in grease, wrapped in brown wax paper, all stacked neatly/separated in crates of 24 each.
I had a crate of those, until the price went through the roof.
I had thought they were post war East German manufacture. I was informed at a gun show that they were late war.
