I recently picked up a Turkish semi on the EE (Scorpio) and am thinking I must be missing something.
I can't figure out any way to remove rounds from the magazine tube without chambering them, other than reaching into space under the carrier with a screwdriver and pushing the shell release outward against spring pressure. Finger pressure won't do it, it has to be a levering tool.
The button on the side is not connected to the shell release like it is on the Pardus. On that one, pushing the button in releases the bolt. Rocking it backward releases a shell from the magazine. If you first release a shell, and then cycle the bolt, the shell is ejected without chambering.
On this new one pushing on the button can only prevent feeding from the magazine. It cannot rock back, and so cannot cause the magazine to release a shell. Physically the button is not part of the release finger.
There is no carrier release button/lever/thingy on the trigger group, and there is no middle control lever on the carrier.
I've tried every combination of bolt and button movement I can think of, but none of them cause the shells to do anything other than chamber.
I have to be missing something. Nobody is going to design a system that only allows ammunition to be released by chambering/ejecting it.... would they?
