ALOT of 1944 and later LB's got Savage mags at the factory. Savage sent all unused mags to LB when they stopped production in summer of '44. I consider a Savage mag entirely correct on a '44 or later LB assuming it's not serialized to a Savage rifle

Can you explain to me in a detailed, emotional sorta way how and why you would not open it up and....

- how often do you find yourself wondering what they are like inside
- what is the benefit to not opening it up for you

I am quite interested. I personally am very protective of my 'older relatives' and look after them like a doting parent, but this is not something I could see myself managing to do as I see the benefit of opening them to experience the whole thing quite enjoyable in an of itself.

So i'm stuck, tell us mere mortals what's it all about!

I didn't know that.

I think my gun is one of the ones that went to Belgium and was re-imported by Districorp. The reason I don't like the mag is because it appears used while the rifle is minty (except for some handling bumps and scrapes.)

I'm just fussy and would like to find a few unissued LB mags.
