Unregistered Win Model 94 -30-30

I have been offered a 1953 Winchester Model 94 30-30 from a friend (estate)I know this firearm is not registered. Should I register it before I sell it or just make sure whoever buys it has a pal and will register it. The gun is in good condition but not NIB. Thanks for the help.
 
It has to be registered for you to take possession of it.
If you're not the executor, you can't, legally, have it in your possession or do anything with it. However, you can register it and then it can be transferred to you. Sell it unregistered you're commiting a crime.
In any case, Pre-64 Win 94's command a fair bit of money
