They post their used gun inventory update at 510pm on October 18 on cgn. Online, I purchase one at 530pm

They cancel my order this morning at 10:30 saying the gun was sold earlier before I bought it.

Then why was it available for me to purchase it?

Sold in store, someone added to cart before you. It happens, move on

Hello @Buckmastr. As explained in the message sent to you earlier today when we cancelled your order, we strive to ensure our online inventory is up to date with our in store inventory, however with the number of products we have in-stock and due to some limitations with our POS software, it's not possible to have a real time live system, the best we've been able to implement is a synchronization that runs a few times an hour updating the site with the available in-store inventory. Unfortunately you placed the order for the firearm a few minutes after it sold in-store, but before the next sync happened which would have pulled the product from our site.

Thank you for your feedback, and we look forward to serving you in the future!

Regards
The Reliable Gun Order Processing Team

Wow, can't be that bad, surely.

POS = Point Of Sale. Not the other acronym lol.

If you ever hit Reliable they've got tonnes a staff, because that place is mad on weekends. I hit there during the week on my lunch breaks! Someone will pick up, but you may have to dial a couple of times.

This isn't the first thread about a CGN vendor "shows in-stock but it isn't". A phone call always works, if they don't pick up on a first ring, call them again. Reliable are in the top tier vendors if you ask me, they aren't the cheapest online, but they certainly have a great customer service and have very knowledgeable people working there. I can understand the frustration, however, like I said, help yourself and give them a call.

I'm sure that sucks, must've been a solid deal. Reliable has always treated me right with their price match policy that saves me time from driving to another shop or ordering online

I was in there yesterday October 19, 2019 and met so many good people willing to help me and give me information. ####ty deal what happened to you but I wouldn't jump the gun and say their bad. These people put alot of effort and time into there place and thier customers. I would give them another chance buddy. Good luck in your future endeavour's.

And such rages the battle of the online verses face to face world

The only problem with face to face is that is often an hour or more one way to do so, plus your time in the store and waiting for someone to check inventory.

Best way is to call, even with the bigger box stores I don't drive anywhere without getting them to verify inventory and sometimes ask to put a hold on it for the time it takes me to drive there.

Done this the hard (wrong) way too many times. It's why the retailer market is losing to the amazons, eBay's and aliexpress's
