Even if you can't find the green slip, that does not mean it was never registered. It probably was. And therefore the executor can sell it to someone who can easily re-register in the new system. I did it.

I have emailed the Canadian Firearms Program to see if it was ever registered

My father in law passed away and we found a .22 pistol in the basement. I heard that some .22s were unrestricted but I am having a hard time finding information about it. Any one out there able to help me?
It's a Walther PPK

Only this and it's .22 brethren are non-restricted.

Anything that fits in the hand is restricted or prohib.
