unrestricted?

TSE received some Swiss Arms/Sigg's - about 30 I believe. Dipped into the reserves and walked out on Saturday with a Classic Green (non-restricted) - test target, case, sling, magazines, cleaning kit included. Reeeeeealy nice piece of equipment. I've never been into the "accessorizing", so the Sigg fits my style. Will add a rail & scope later though.
Dull? Nope. :D :D Compact enough, especially with the stock folded.

If cost is a factor the 180B with a match trigger and good handloads will group around an inch. It is my goto varmint blaster and has been 100% reliable. Call John at Wolverine for availability.

How much does the XCR go for?

Too much.

"...I found myself in a situation similar to your own ...looking for a non-restricted 5.56/.223 AR alternative that would let me enjoy the genre without the hassles of an ATT. I ended up purchasing a new Ruger Mini-14 and mating it with an aftermarket SCAR-CQB stock, a Trijicon Reflex II sight and a birdcage AR-style flash suppressor. Once I get the rifle back from my gunsmith (I'm having it refinished so all the components match), I'll post a few pics..."
Here it is, fresh from the gunsmith this afternoon:

Even with the M4 stock fully collapsed, the rifle is still 36" long ...so the non-restricted status doesn't change. All of 'the metal' was refinished in satin black baked-on teflon.

I like it.

I've never shot a PE90, but I get the impression that it'd be a bit of a dull rifle to shoot and own. There's really not much you can do to tweak a SIG, they're pretty much top notch right out of the box, right?

No trouble to tell you've never shot one! 'cause you wouldn't be saying that if you had! :D You can gucci the Swiss Arms up with quad rails, fore grips, lasers, lights, etc...but why? Its darn near perfect as is. Only thing I'd add is a picatinny scope rail for when I'm in the mood to mount some optics when I really want to reach out and touch some song dogs!

"...Very nice. How heavy does it feel?..."

I haven't weighed it, but judging by feel alone, it doesn't seem much heavier than with the factory wood stock (the aftermarket stock is lightweight machined aluminum). As for how it shoots, I hope to put the first round through it next weekend.
