Unwrap and cleaning a new No4 MKII

I prepose another option. Say unwrapping it till you have children, or grandchildren (I don't know your age and marital status) and make it their first gun. You can make the whole thing a bonding experience, and teach them how to clean and care for firearms.

This hands off talk strikes me as a little silly;kind of like marrying Miss Canada and then spending the honeymoon in separate bedrooms. Guns are made to be handled and shot. Those that aren't should be donated to a museum. I've "despoiled" quite a few new guns over the years and never regretted it.;)

Just ten years ago, LeBarons had a stand at the Toronto Sportsmen's Show,
and
they sold these brandnew in the wrap # 4 Enfields for $225.00.
To buy a few cases of those rifles would have been a better investment than to put money in the stock market.

How times have changed... then, they still sold guns at the Sportsmen's Show.

I can think of a lot better returns on the stock market if I could have seen the future....
