**UPDATE** 12.5" and 14" Rem 870 Barrels

Not bull, saw exactly one 14" barrel from last production run remaining and almost pulled the trigger myself. The 12" showed out of stock but if you went into the pull down menu you would have found it.

Same here, would of bought it but some other things took priority.

Seen a few posts of people looking for one, had a chuckle about it.

Call whatever you want my friend, we operate how we operate, it works for us. We DO NOT give ETA's on product restock it's just that simple. This saves us about 20x calls and emails a day and the time that it wastes from us getting production done.

It works for you, sure but what about the customer? You guys are masters of your craft but trash when it comes to customer service. I have been in Manufacturing for 20 years, you should be able to give a ballpark, If you cant then you obviously don't have a handle on your business. You can spend all day responding to comments on the forum but cant give a rough estimate of when product will be ready to your customers? and using the 20 phone calls per day is a sorry excuse, if you were living in this century you would pay for a Voip system that could take calls and route callers to pre-recorded messages or an answering machine. It's a damn shame you are the only people who manufacture these barrels because we are all beholden to your arrogance.

You have your opinion and we have ours. We all know what opinions are like and you're proving the saying right. To be frank my Keyboard Warrior friend, you can wank on all you like about how we should do this, and we should do that. I, and the others here at the shop, work our butts off to get as much product out as possible including writing responses while eating lunch at my laptop. That's right, my 8 hour day involves me WORKING for eight hours straight most days. If that's not enough then look elsewhere for parts my friend because we cannot do much more than we are now.

As for not having a handle on our business, until you have actually worked in this industry for a decade and have dealt with the daily disruptions, random pop-up issues and folk that can read a post asking not to bother us, but still do, than you have no right to judge.

For a two and a half man shop we do quite well, if you think you can do better then have at it.

The rest of y'all have yourselves a GREAT Labour Day long weekend !

Hi Leigh, for what it’s worth, it’s always been a pleasure to do business with you and Joe. You guys have always gone above and beyond including both Joe and yourself taking time out to talk to me on the phone many times. I LOVE my dlask products. Highest of high fives to all of you at Dlask.

Wow... seven months of waiting and they sell out in half an hour; just my luck.

Can we do some form of pre-order for the next batch Dlask? If nothing else, it would allow you to gauge what size of production run to do and would allow those waiting patiently to know that their barrel is eventually coming.

Thanks for getting these out there!

When Josef gets back we will be sitting down to discuss production runs to prioritize and trust me, these will be on the list.

Good products, but extremely difficult to get .
Obviously very small production numbers and very long lead times

Agreed. Sold out in 36 minutes hmm. Shop has 2.5 men. At the speed of normal transactions online I'm guessing there were 3-4 of each barrel length offered up to appease the peasants begging for them.

This is exactly why I asked last week if there is any indication of when these will be ready, only to be responded to by DLASK with “Yes, as soon as they're done they will be ready.“ and now have missed them again.

I’m not trying to stir the pot here, and I respect your right to run your business the way you like, but DLASK maybe listen to the feedback from your customers?? Not everyone has all day to be refreshing your forum and waiting for the 30 mins some random day that these barrels will be available. How hard is it to set up a preorder list so that people can pay you, and atleast know that they will be getting a barrel eventually. Wouldn’t that save you more time to spend working on manufacturing these, instead of spending time on CGN sending cheeky responses to potential customers that want to buy your products and support a local business?

Well spoken.

However, I have posted the reasons why we have not had more that just a few of these and the chief among them was a significantly large contract to convert some Brne 2 rifles. Couple that with all of the other parts we make, sell, and import and we are just now getting into production of these. Customers can give all the feedback they like but at the end of the day there are only so many hours in a work week and we have to pick and choose how we spend those hours. As for a pre-order you apparently have never run a small business. Not saying that negatively but the truth of the matter is that once someone has put down a deposit on a product they want a timeline on when it will be done. Then before the timeline has even come you will start to get emails and phone calls asking - Is everything is alright ? Are you still on track for the deadline you gave me ? I am SO excited to get such and such a product that I just HAD to call and ask !

This is the reality of pre-orders and it is exactly why we stopped doing them for 99% of products. It's crappy for us even, I mean hey, we live in the most expensive city in the world and need to pay bills but life doesn't run on a schedule in the firearms manufacturing world, just trust me on that. Anyone that tells you differently may sell things they just order from a wholesaler, they don't do the hands on manufacturing.

The REAL issue here is that some people want what they want and they want it NOW. And if we tell them they can't have it now but we are working on it, that doesn't seem to sink in because this has turned into an "I WANT IT NOW !" society. (Thanks Amazon)

I give cheeky answers because it keeps me sane and to be honest if I gave my true thoughts on how some people behave on this forum...well, I would get myself banned lickity-split.

So, to sum up, I am writing this while I sit on my coffee break from ....chambering shotgun barrels. Everyone please just chill, we are on it, and if that's just not good enough then I'm sorry but it's all we can do.

And, because you were so polite and I really do understand some of the frustration Cory24, I WILL do something that may help those that can't be on the website all the time. When we are done this run I will post here the day before I post the barrels to our website and give you all a days notice so everyone gets the heads up that they are about to be released and at what time.

If it helps then I can do that ? Let me know.

Now, Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho.....

Just wondering outside of my head, could it be possible at all these days to set up a pre order with an iron clad clause stating that if you contact us before such and such date, like before you contact the customer with shipping information, you will forfeit your money and get an expensive lesson in patience? It would possibly help with an injection of funds for materials and consumables plus knowing a firm commitment in orders and then letting the professionals get to work to supply excellent products?

Probably not these days? Not many people here that remember ordering Sea Monkeys from the back of a comic book with a money order from the post office and putting it in an envelope and into the snail mail system it would go and you just hoped something would show up!

If not, we’ll I hope you had a good laugh!!

what an absolute joke of a company

From his post history it sounds like he felt disrespected after checking "every day" on the website for about two weeks.

Apparently they were in stock this week for 36 minutes? Fantastic. That's the fair shot everyone had at it, or, if you happened to be around during those 36 minutes.

These days I come here to this thread with my popcorn to see the bossman give his "cheeky answers" and to see the forum members seethe in response.

Almost a masterclass in being smug, it is. *chews popcorn*
