++UPDATE++ Complete TUF-22TD Rifle Builds Available ONLY at Dlask Arms Corp.

Question....do these TD's maintain zero after repeated "take-downs"?
I'm specifically interested in ones with the receiver mounted rail/optics......

I found mine would return to zero after take downs, however I found it was pretty sensitive to pressure on the forend changing POI. This was with the factory barrel, haven't had a chance to experiment yet with a barrel mounted scope on a Dlask barrel

A short, low rail drilled for the barrel mounts would be a nice low profile option for a micro red dot on the barrel..... I think I may have seen one on the dlask website a while back?

The higher cantilever makes sense for eye relief issues but it comes at the cost of extra bulk and height.

A guy could also use a pic-to pic cantilever rail from time to time if needed using a low profile non cantilevered barrel rail as the mounting surface.

A barrel cantilever rail would hang past the butt of the stock (with the optic) when broken down. Unless it's mounted forward or removed.
Could be a problem for scope eye relief....RD's don't work well with my aging eyes.

Another reason why I'd prefer any rail that is barrel mounted with screws to be non cantilevered.
I just took a quick look and I don't see a basic rail option from Dlask, only the cantilevered unit as shown in the picture they posted.

There's a rail on the site that is available in 3x MOAs. It's for the Tuff22 receiver and 5/16" screws are recommended.
I'm also looking at the BX trigger kit because it's my understanding that the OEM is not that great.

I'm waiting for Leigh to get back to me.....

So that everyone is aware, these rails :

https://dlaskarms.com/product/rails-made-us-dlask-arms-corp-fit-remington-870-line-shotguns-bolt-directly-top-receiver-existing-4-bolt-pattern-870-perfect-fo/

fit the TUF-22TD as well as factory Ruger 10/22 rifles. They DO NOT fit our TUF-22 regular models as we milled a rib in the top of those for stability.

Note also that if you use the DAR-22 rail for your TUF-22TD model the scope will require re-sighting in every time the barrel is removed and replaced. If you use the barrel mounted or Magpul option then the optic does not require adjustment and should be bang on every time.

This is one of the best little .22 scopes I've used simply because of the great eye relief :

Do regular BX-1 mags fit too, or does it only take the TUFF-22 mags?

POI shift will be an issue with receiver mounted scope right? Is there an option for barrel mounted rail that is not cantilevered?

Correct, POI will change when you remove and then re-install the barrel with a receiver mounted rail. There are no standard rails for the barrel from us other than the Magpul Optics Mount which is a rock solid option. I used one and love it.

Leigh....thanks for the info on the receiver mounted scope rail on the TD's and it's implications with POI.
Will you be selling complete non-TD SBR's in the future? I'd be interested in a full-stock 12.5"bbl with a receiver mounted scope rail.

Well...

'SBR' is a Yankee term, but yes, we can make you anything you'd like barrel wise. However, most shorter barrels don't clear the forend of your average 10/22 stock since they are mostly 'Made in the USA' where the minimum barrel length to be legal is 16". Thus they design and manufacture their wares to look aesthetically pleasing with a 16" or longer barrel. The Magpul x-22 and the Hogue Overmolded really only look good with our 12.5in barrel and an XB-5. This leaves about 1.5 to 2 inches protruding out the front so it doesn't look like Cletus just took a hacksaw to it whilst a whittlin' on the front stoop....lol

I had to Google who Cletus might be.

Will you be re-stocking item SKU: DAC12791b any time soon?
If not I'll probably order one of these TD's and deal with the receiver scope mount "issues"

I just dug out an old crossbow scope.
IIRC it has 4" eye relief. I know the cross-hairs will be thicker and the elevation markings useless but will it work on the cantilever barrel mount? I simply don't see reddots clearly anymore......

Leigh, any chance you can post a pic with the muzzle loader scope mounted on your TD?

I don't have one on a Takedown rifle. The only Takedown I own has a 9in barrel so....yeah, a Trijicon MRO sits on it. The scope I posted a pic of is a Nikon Inline XR. I got one in silver for my daughter's .22 and liked it so much I sourced another for my son in the camo option. For the money they are amazing for a cheap little optic with a great field of view and a full five inches of eye relief. It's a Nikon as well so the glass is above par for the money in my opinion.

Hey Leigh....got the rifle a few days ago and it looks fantastic! Super fast shipping.
The sum of all the parts turned out much better than I thought and feels great in my hands. Also, you were right that Magpul does OD green the best. It looks awesome! Glad I went with it:)

Did they call you after you sent them an email? I haven't heard anything from them yet since I sent the email.

I sent an email to confirm my order and followed up with a phone call. Spoke with Leigh and he took care of everything.
Had the rifle within a week. Last I checked the FDE stock and 9"TD barrels were sold out....

Here's my 50yd plinker.
The items I added from the Basic build was a BX trigger drop-in kit and a Vortex RD on a 10MOA rail.

Quick update.....
There was a comment that the barrel appears to be sitting "high" on the fore-stock at the muzzle end (see above pic).
It was suggested that I remove the barrel from the fore-stock and look for a "button" near the front of the grip that is making contact with the barrel.
Lo-and-behold there was one and it got removed. The fore-stock now looks levelled with the barrel.

I'm guessing the "button" is there to support standard profile barrels......

Of course upgrades are available like on all of our custom TUF-22's. More to come tomorrow....
You guys still selling these? I see various parts on your website but not seeing the basic platform with upgrade options. Emailed and called a couple of times but not having much luck.
