Correct. Rifles chassis doesn't matter. You can use one long and one short gas system one swappable barrels and they will both function perfectly provided they are each complete and you don't try to mix and match parts from them with each other.

Thanks but those look like they have the shorter gas system? I’m interested in one with a longer gas system, does that exsist in 7.62?

I would also like a FULL length/rifle length gas system/barrel combo for 7.62x39...a whole new gas block too which me killer!!!

...are your barrel profiles heavier (slightly) at all? Can they be if we wanted them that way?

They did announce the release of the drop in barrel assembly (trunnion, gas block, barrel and upgraded piston spring). I got one for my 5.56 from them back in mid September and I think there were only 2 more in stock when I ordered mine.
Not sure why they didn’t post anything on this thread but you might have missed the boat.
Contact RDSC as they are able to do it as well.
