I might actually own a black rifle one day...who would have thought?!? lol Barrel is the only question that comes to mind. I'm thinking about it as a varmint gun, but a heavy barrel would be nice.

Ryan is down at Shot Show right now and he is talking to the president of MPA about pricing, variants and options. We'll be doing the standard 18.6" barrel to get the NR rating and we may also look at longer and shorter barrel models as well. We're very confident that the MPA-RC will get an NR rating with the RCMP because of how different it is to an AR internally.

From the CheaperThanDirt blog: "The MPAR 556 Rifle is phosphate hard-coat anodized depending on the material used. Masterpiece Arms claims that disassembly will be very user friendly, both for access to the internals of the weapon as well as the piston assembly housed in the front handguard. This gun is American Made and offers the MasterPiece Arms Lifetime Guarantee. MSRP is $959.00"

So with an MSRP of 960 USD, we can expect what? $1300-1500 in Canada? Approx? That's my guess although I WISH it were closer to the US price! (which will probably be LOWER, since MSRP is usually higher than STREET price)
You are right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If MSRP is $1000.00 that means you will pay $1300.00 + tax and up in Canada for 5 round pinned firearms .B#@@$%&* !
All my friends in US always buying firearms LESS THEN MSRP.

A $1000-1100 CANADIAN price tag would be a true service to all of us budget minded shooters north of the 49th...

Let's not get greedy and you'll sell LOTS more!!!
