++Update June 2024+ TEN INCH Barrels for the Derya TM-22 are a GO !

Picked up my barrel in the shop yesterday. The rifle arrived too yesterday. I was super disappointed to see that it came with the full length handguard as I thought I had ordered one with the shorter handguard.
Now I'll have to see what options are out there. The TommyIndustries looks good but it is plastic. The stock handguard seems way too thick for what it is so I don't know if I will try and find a shorter version.
Any one know what other hand guards will fit?

If you're definitely not about plastic, then this won't help. However, if it's more about not spending $75 on a handguard, then you could always print one!

I remixed my earlier design with a top rail and shortened it a bit so the barrel ring wouldn't get in the way of the linear comp. Pic of my rifle is in the link.

Did they not have any short hand guards in stock?

I've got one from Tommy enterprise and one from dlask.

The one from dlask was 220 though.

Dlask told me they had some short handguards when I picked up the barrel, but the rifle hadn't arrvied yet. I may pick one up from Dlask. How is it? Is it worth getting the Dlask one over the TE one at that price difference? I am also considering chopping the stock one to keep the colours the same (mine is the bronze one).

Thanks for sharing. Looks like the handguard will be clamped onto the barrel nut using the M3 screws and nuts? Would it be worth adding a M4 melt nut to the hole in which the top screw goes? That way the top screw can actually be threaded on.

Picked up a hand guard from Dlask today. Glad I went with it over the TE. Nothing against TE but for a free floating HG, I'd rather it be metal. It comes with a barrel nut and fits together nicely. Solid fit and finish. I'll post some pics later.

The design accommodates either/or, so you can use an M4 heat-set insert in the top hole of the handguard to mount it to the receiver the way you would the original handguard. I prefer the clamp as it feels tighter than the original setup, but I left the option open.

(Why didn't I use M4 for both? Honestly, I wanted to keep the chin as small as possible)

You can see an earlier prototype in my avatar where it was only mounted via the M4 nut/handguard.

Here is a pic of mine with the Dlask barrel and handguard. I will be picking up a Dlask CH this week and I still have to decide on an optic but will probably go with a HS 508t or similar that I can throw on the Sw mount. It's a fun little rifle but I am not really a fan of the long LOP so I will either swap out that fixed stock with a milspec buffer tube and a CRT stock or I will trim the existing one a couple of inches.

Am I missing the hand guard on their site?

Get the Alex home brew top mount charging handle.

It's what I've got mounted to mine.

I've got ODG furniture on order(including mil-spec ODG buffer tube, castle nut, and end plate) to replace the black and then I'll send the rifle off to be cerakoted in ODG.

Ah yes, the home brew CH. I have heard about this. Where / how do you order one?

New to forum —Missed the last batch in April. What’s the typical release cycle , every couple months ? Or is it pretty sporadic?
Thanks

Not selling my all metal baby. Has arca also. Get lots of looks and offers at the range. Forgot to put the longer mag. I also threaded and put grub hex between forend and barrel nut to make it very rigid.
Played around with the bolt springs as well to shoot subs. All we have left in Canada lol
