Anyone care to place a market value on such a piece for those of us who are uninformed of such things?

I sometimes wonder if you could find trace amount of chemical weapons, explosive residue etc in some of the nooks and crannies of those old rifles by swabbing them and putting the swabs thru some fancy shpansy whatchamacallit doodad ... Now THAT would bring history back to life for the firearm's owner ...

Don't worry, I haven't gotten any pm's regarding free rosses and certain requirements in return for their exchange. Not yet anyways...

Either side of the razor-wire, $1000 would be fair to both buyer and seller for a clean Home Guard MkIII (NOT M-10!) such as this example. FWIW, all the Home Guards that have lived in my Rossroom came with the early stamped nosecaps.
