*UPDATE* NAA Mini Master Has arrived!!!!

I'm interested. More in the Earl I think.

Has anyone contacted NAA directly to find out how long the 4" barrel actually is? Exactly? It wouldn't be the first 4" barrel gun that is more than 4.14" when measured. Maybe it doesn't need to be a special order after all?

We only need to be more than 105mm (4.134") and I for one would like to be the bare minimum. They can keep the 0.1" of steel in the USA!! :D

Custom serial numbers of course would be cool if it is a "special" order. I like the "CDN###" format.

I would also be interested in the leather holster for it. Perhaps it too could have a custom Canadian stamp on it?

I wonder if they could do a colour case hardening on the hammer and loading lever? That would be nice.

Perhaps another dealer would be interested in bringing in the Earl? I would shop it around to other dealers and see who might be the most interested. Easy sales if enough of us want them and pre-pay. Lots of CGN dealers to enquire with.

I would also be interested, if the price is right, in buying some extra cylinders at the same time. NAA says they should be "timed" to the gun so I would buy them together.

I hope this can be done while the Canadian dollar is up! :canadaFlag:

Hey no pressure just curious what stage we were at Its pretty cool to see the whole thing evolve

Tony,

I don't want to speak for Kodiak Outpost, but I've been in contact with him and North American Arms, and I assure you, its not at a standstill. Kodiak is working on this as fast as the red tape and paper pushers will allow. I don't know the in's and out's of importation, but Its certainly not as easy as I first thought.

I know I've said it before, but it still amazes me that they were willing to accommodate us on this.

Update: The order is placed. These guns will be coming to Canada. It will be the Mini-Master, 4.25" barrel, 22LR & 22Mag, fixed sights, serialized markings "CDN 1 of 50".

Manufacturing time has been quoted at 90 days. We will be taking names for purchasing when they are closer to arriving. Of course, when they're available I'll make sure the CGN community is aware.

K.O.

Fantastic news! Thanks for doing this K.O.! So taking into account the quoted manufacturing time, time to get export and import permits, etc... Would you guess that these should be in our sticky little hands sometime early in the new year?

Glad to know they are coming! Thanks a lot to all of those involved in importing these!
For those who prefer the grips of the Earl or even other grips, you can order some and change them easily
heres some pictures of them:

These are the regular grips

There is other diferent grips available on the NAA website, they are all 35$

By the way I'm calling dibs on serial #21 :D lol

Hopefully before Christmas, but early in the new year is possible. Unpredictable delays are common in import/export.

That would be awesome! It would be a great Christmas present to myself! But I understand the ups and down sof import/export (especially exporting firearms out of the US and importing them into Canada) so I won't hold it against you if there are a few delays along the way... ;) By the way, does this gun even have an FRT? Or will you need to apply to the RCMP for one?

Alex,

I notice in the pictures you posted, the slide that's under the barrel that pulls down and out to remove the cylinder appears to be on backwards :D

Note how in this picture it appears to form fit better:

I would be in for the Earl with rosewood gripes. If the price is not to bad maybe two.

I have a couple of NAA arms belt buckle guns and one of the little .22 short which is smaller then belt buckle gun. They are great little guns.

Ah, I see what you mean about the grips. And in looking more at the overall dimensions it seems like The Earl doesn't have the overall larger size that I thought it did. Should have checked the numbers earlier I guess.

Hmmmm.... I still prefer the old tyme Remington style of The Earl. But there's no denying that the Colt Python'esque look of the Mini Master does have it's own appeal. Especially when a cleaner custom miniature look is just a set of wood grips away.

Being that the sides of the barrel on the guardian are flat it will look more natural at 106mm IMHO then a round barrel. Here's to hoping the guardian comes up here too!
