UPDATE on BREN 2 N/R Rifles

I see NS introducing a Bren 2 DMR nonrestricted in 223 and 308. How much more awesome do those get with some Dlask goodness? Would be nice to get an accurate NR semi without having to go through the restricted dance.
The 18.6 .223 rifle is the same sample from a few years ago, which CZ has already said isn't happening due to production constraints from Ukr war, hence why the bastardized ones sold here are all aftermarket barrels and parts.

The DMR one though, we could potentially get that eventually. An all OEM one is what I'm waiting for. Dlask makes nice stuff but I'd prefer an out of the box NR from CZ directly.

I just read through another thread about TACCOM, sounds like it’s coming! They just applied for an FRT. Take that doubters!
Just curious.. why would they need to send in for a different FRT when we already have the 8", 11", 14", 16'?? Same goes with the .308, is it not just a variant of an already existing model?

Because it's a .308 and while called a Bren 2, it isn't really. It's distinct enough to require its own FRT.

The short-barrel ones would be restricted rifles, no? Might be necessary to establish that the new one is NR under a different identifier.

Should be able to fly under the already established one as the gun is same operation and should be listed as a sister entry. If it needs an all new FRT, I'm pretty sure our current laws mean it's prohibited due to the mag size. Guns aren't on sale yet or in the database.
