See Posts #2 & 5 for Updates - After I posted the info I had found on RFC, a member there 'made my day' with detailed historical info. It's quite a detailed action, probably leading to it's demise as it wasn't very 'low-cost' to produce for the market it was intended to meet. This allowed me to do the following "FIX", that I posted on RFC last nite.
"UPDATE 8/28 - 10:30PM - Well, after Sav22's advice above, I went on to 'Un-bubba' - or at least 'make it good'. I cleaned up the 'notch' release angle and (gasp) removed some of the patina on the bolt and striker. LO! - I found the 'Arrow' and " S " for the 'Twist Safety' of the 66-B! So Sav22 was correct in his surmise that this was 'some version' of the 66-B, altho the barrel is not stamped as such. Likely an 'early' transition model-B using a 'regular' 66 barrel. Anyway, I blew cleaner thru the striker - no need to take out the springs - wiped out the gunk, then dri-spray silicone inside and light oil on the outside of the bolt.
It went together OK and now the T-pull is around 1.5# or so. The weather is looking rainy for the next few days and I'm a half-hour away from a range I can use, so Function update and accuracy pics will wait a bit more.
Once more, THANKS to SAV22 for his advice. I know 'online info' is thin on these so I REALLY Appreciate his input on this and other threads where I've gleaned the knowledge I needed to take on this 'Fix'. I've Only cleaned the 'really dirty parts' and left all the patina and dings and scratches - records of it's life. Pics of these in my 1st post about "New2Me" a few days ago."

Note the 'Ejector Tip' of the magazine follower in the Ejection Port - it pushes the 'Last fired case' out of Controlled feed bolt

'Rare' variant trigger, w-'reset plunger' on Right end . . . . . NEXT PIC -> . . . "Coc-king Notch" after 'clean-up'

"Twist Safety" Indexing Marks on Striker and Bolt body . . . . . NEXT PIC -> . . . . Trigger assembled on Receiver
