UPDATE: Rossi Ranch Hand Mares Leg

Even in the US these things are flying off the shelves the manufacturers phones must be ringing off the hook!
I am sure everyone realizes that you dealers have to jump through a lot of hoops just to satisfy us.
Then the added pressure of the Internet and this site I'm sure it must drive you guys crazy at times.

Belt is finally done!!

Well people it's finally done, the first belt worthy of you all. With input from a couple of CGN members as well as people who have worn and made gun leather I think this belt will not only look good but last for a good, long time. Without any further ado, here it is;

That's a mighty fine looking belt ; Are you making a holster to fit the Ranch Hand as well?
And do you have any color options as well as with loops or not??
Let me know when you get some pricing info. I got a Ranch Hand already but am looking for a belt and holster. Not looking for some dressy rodeo rig full of conchos and stuff. Got a relation in Canada so shipping wouldn't give me no grief.
Thanks.
Doc.

Doc.Holliday,
Yes I'll be offering different colours, as well as with or without bullet loops and tooling. I am next working on a holster/scabbard for the Ranch Hand as well as a rig like the one McQueen wore. Again, tooling and such as extras. Pricing, well I'm humming and hawing because first and foremost, I want to offer a decent deal on a CANADIAN made, HAND made product but these things, at least with loops and tooling do take alot of time.
Cheers,

Looks good. I am not a fan of the "made for JJ" but I am sure JJ is happy.

Why did you not put loops all the way around?

rangebob,
The belt is 2 1/2" wide/tall with a 1 1/2" buckle.
babyseal,
With loops all the way around it then becomes somewhat of a hassle to wear a holster. Just sayin......

IIRC, McQueens rig was 3` wide. Looking at the pics you posted earlier of him, I`d say thats pretty close. If someone wanted a 3`wide belt then that would be no problem. You will have to supply your own 45-70 rounds tho:)
Cheers,

So I hate to pester you fellas at wanstalls, bu have you managed to find the time to contact Rossi to see when our beloved rifles will arrive? ;)

The clearest pictures of the belt weren't my posts, but rather okanagan hiker's
I love that design, but the only two problems i have with it are that a) - it lets the barrel touch the ground when you kneel risking fouling at the muzzle, and b) - there's not much protection for the gun as you go thru brush and stuff (crap rubbing against it and the like. Which isn't a HUGE deal but a consideration.).

Still - the devil's in the details and something that 'referenced' that design but addressed some of the issues would be really neat.

I would likely just go with 12 - 14 loops - leave room for a knife to dangle from your pants belt without slapping against cartridges. It's just your 'ready supply' after all, you can always pack a box of cartridges if you think you're going to need more and replenish as you use 'em. Personally - if i encounter anything that's still walking after 12 rounds go into it, i'm likely gonna be thinking about how fast i can leave, not reloading :)
