Guys,
I'm not even getting one of these, and I feel sorry for you guys!!:( I've got some loose ends to tie up then I'm gonna start on the holsters. It would be kinda cool if the .22 mares leg fit the same as the big-bore mares leg.
Cheers,
spacesaver

I will probably pick up a .22 mare's leg one day. It'll be cool to shoot with my nephew, or maybe even my wife.

i have figured out how to get a rachhand alomst right away ......
and in 454 casull ......
order just the ranchhand barrel ( in 45 caliber )and reloading tube install legalbarrel and ammo tube onto rossi rifle you already own...

then presto changeo ........ your rifle is now a ranchhand , with a full stock

Gary keep me on the list for the Rossi mares leg 44 Magnum.
And can you also put me on the list for the Henry's mares leg 22

I would take a .22 Henry.

I have several Henry rifles and like them all so would be open to the .45 if Rossi not available down the road.
I would like to be kept on the list for a Rossi.

Post some pictures and costs when you are done......if you get it done before the ranchhands arrive I'd have to say....

Good luck.

As far as the Henry's go..there has been no official commitment to bring them into Canada. I've talked directly with the Henry Distributor and they would definitely work with us if there is some real interest. Pricing (unofficially) would land around $980 for the .45 and $380ish for the .22. ETA (and I hate to even say anything) would be 2-4 months. If this seriously interests any of you send me a PM and I'll take some numbers to Henry and see what we can do...

And in no way am I slowing down the pursuit of the Rossi!!!

Gary

Thanks for the update Gary!
Does this mean you can increase your order to match the list?
How many have you ordered at this point?

Does anyone think there would be a quality difference between Henry and Rossi?
How would you know how hot you could load a 45? I understand there has been a wide range of action strengths for this cartridge.

Gary is just taking down names right now.
He has been working with Henry repeating arms to get us those new mares leg.
It's a brand-new product line from Henry that is just getting out to the US market.
Gary's taking names and kicking ass!!!!

I agree the Rossi is much nicer and looks to be quite solid.
Henry 45 mares leg isn't even due out for another month or so in the US.
The Henry 22 mares leg is different (I just want one because of the cheap ammo to practice with)
by the end of the year I guess I will have three of the crazy things LOL
