I have another update to post this week end. I just returned from the Colorado show, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst shows ever! Colorado is usually very good, but this time, it left much to be desired. My vendor friends, too, commented how sparse the show was, and Saturday attendance felt like Sunday! Slim pickin's for yours truly, and a lot of work. I managed to scrape a small bucket together though, and ended up having to have it shipped by a friend because Delta Airlines wouldn't accept my antiques. Bothersome, to say the least. I have been at this for ten years now, and I have had my share of headaches - missed flights, checked luggage refused by some over-zealous gate agent, shipments lost altogether and getting the "third degree" by customs officials on both sides... Oh, what fun! But, all in all it's still a good time. I have made so many good friends south of the border - all of who feel sorry for me and our nutty gun laws. Speaking of nutty gun laws - Rumour has it Colorado will tighten their regulations for gun shows, making all firearms, including antiques, subject to FFL approval, and requiring a 3-day waiting period. The show I have been attending for years probably won't happen again either. Apparently their contract with the venue is up, and they are not renewing. The stricter regulations make it impossible to hold a successful show...
