The 84's & 840's are only break action shotguns as far as I know. Never available in .22
Break action definitely not. Having said that I own two smoothbore cooeys in 22 rimfire. They have only a shotgun bead front sight but are based off the model 75 frame. Single shot bolt.Are you 100% sure?

I've seen several rifle calibres that have been converted to fire in the break action 84s but not from factoryWell I tossed a wee bit of salt into the wound.
Need to wait'n see what becomes of it.

^I've always wanted to mess around with one of those. lol 22 shotshells are ridiculously useless really...but I've never dug the idea of running them through my rifled barrels. Not to derail entirely, but were they considered "Garden guns", like 9mm Flobert? I've always been intrigued..as it's kind of a oddball idea.
