Very nice. The handgrip vents are too large - reminds me of the MAK90 Dragunov set, but still nice.
This is the thing - it takes TIME to make sets at home without the benefit of duplicating machines or CNC machines. Yet some people seem to want Wal-Mart or IKEA pricing. Doesn't work that way. What's your time worth to be taken away from family? $5/hr? That would be $100 for a set + materials and shop costs. $10/hr? Yay! About minimum wage! Now it's $200 + materials and shop costs. For me, I either volunteer my time or charge $40/hr. That would be $800 for a set plus materials and shop costs.Great job!! I like to see what others can create out of a stick of wood. Just FYI, it took me close to 20 hours for make my set and I could not justify making another set for anything less than $200. These are well worth the price.

Travis, if you see about the port holes and the angles of the stock are really the hardest things to figure out on these sets. Trial and error is a big factor
Hey Travis , just out of interest , I was wondering what it would cost just for a pair of hand guards , if , that is , your brother might be interested in just making those two pieces ?
I'm thinking of my CZ with just wood on the upper and lower hand guards as I love the Fab grip and recoil reducing stock .
Not totally decided yet , but if you can ask him for me I'd appreciate that info .
Thanks
Dana
Very interested in a set... but...
Has the buttstock been milled out for a sling attachment point like the original hardwood or beaver barf stock?
I realize I could attach a simple Uncle Mikes sling swivel or perhaps use an Israeli type sling, but would like to know the options.
Thanks!
*EDIT* Finally made 1000 posts... Only took me 9 years....![]()
