*UPDATED* S&J Uzkon AS44 SBS review

Took the AS44 out for a second run yesterday and it functioned flawlessly with Score target and trap loads.
So like many guns, some just prefer certain ammo brands over others.
This gun is very accurate and patterns very tight 20-30 yards out when shooting birdshot with a full choke. Love it.

Do your Hatsan's shoot just certain brands well too or do they eat everything? I'm liking the option of the chokes on the Uzkon for sure.

All my Hatsans shoot everything, (Challenger, Remington, Winchester, Score, Federal.) Only drawback is no chokes. Otherwise, they are the best budget Turkish shotgun brand IMO.

So I bought the same gun from S and J and was going to go through your build list and then check their site for these items. Alot of these items are not on their very crappy website, do they have more items that are not listed on the website? Thinking of a new follower, side saddle and the magpul stock.

they also don't answer their god damned e-mails when you want to give them money for something they say they carry and don't have listed.

Great way to do business. WTF?

I know it's a bit much to expect of the customer these days, but have you ever picked up the phone and called?? I've always gotten Simon on the phone immediately or at the very least a callback within a short time.

I know that phones are so inconvenient and hard to access. It would be so much easier if we could somehow carry them with us everywhere, like maybe even in our pocket - that would be awesome. I'm going to invent one. I think I'll call it a cell phone...

I sometimes see S&J Hardware items at SFRC when they are sold out on the S&J Hardware site ... Maybe they'll have the items you're looking for.

Hey folks
Sorry we have been slacking. Think have been a bit overwhelming. We have a new website being built we too over spatha tactical and also working on retail location with one of our partner company's cdn gunworks.

I was never bashing you guys, I have bought several items off you fellows and been pleased, including this little shotgun. Your website is crap however, but there are a lot of good businesses with crappy sites, glad to hear you plan on making it better.

** Quick update on this gun.

After a few stock swaps I've settled on a Hatsan ATI Talon with a Scorpion grip and Battlelink Minimalist stock that I had laying around.

The SGA went back on one of my DA Grizzlies since the short LOP Hogue was just not working out on the Grizz.

I tried the Hogue on the AS44 with the 870 stock adapter, however it made the safety and trigger access uncomfortable to utilize.

The trigger and jumbo safety access is excellent now with the Talon stock and Scorpion grip.

I put 3 x Hatsan drop spacers on the ATI to bring down the stock angle.

The side saddle was also removed, the screws would not hold in the modified holes that were drilled and tapped into the Tacstar/KA saddle. So into the parts bin it also went. (S&J included the original receiver pins)

I also painted the raised front bead white which really pops.

The gun is still somewhat picky with Challenger shells, but it will mainly be on a Score shell diet anyways.

So, from the original added accessory package, the only items left on the gun are the no jam follower and jumbo safety.
(The 870 adapter will eventually get used on another one of my Turkish shotguns)

Otherwise the gun cycles smooth and is a lot of fun when running a full choke.
