Both lung hits but first one was farther back, he took a hop and a few steps after the first shot and took a look around....I was getting impatient for him to die so I touched off another...Im pretty sure it was not needed but I guess Ill never know.

I used 130 gr. Nosler Ballistic tips and they didnt' let me down, the exit holes in the hide were about the size of a quarter.

Wookie, That's the whole gun, I took the buttstock off so I can save some weight....That damn gun was wearing me down by the time I got to my stand on the first morning.

Do you think your A7 is much better than the Tikka, or have you tried both? I am kind of looking for 25-06 in a light rifle to shoot yotes now that there is a bounty on there feet.

That's exactly what the landowner on the island told me when we got there, us northerners get no respect.

I dont' know if they are that a lot better but for the deal I got it was only about 100$ or so difference so I thought it was worth it. I owned a T3 before and they quite comparable in some aspects but not the same. I really like the fact it has weaver bases since i like burris signature zee rings. My Tikka M-65 has burris bases and rings, cant remember if the T3 is tapped for bases.

The action is very smooth and the trigger is awesome, the gun shoots quite a bit better than I do. The only think I dont' really like is the plastic bolt shroud but Im getting used to it. The magazine system is great in my books.

I guess some mags have had a problem for people, cartridges popping out. They have had to send them back for new ones. Since they got new ones in exchange for them without problems not a huge deal?

I heard about that, not sure how often it happened. May have been an issue with he first run only ?
