I am updating my IPSC gear. I have a new CR belt and Speedsec holster. I am now trying to choose the best mag holders/pouches for double stack .45 mags. I am thinking about Versa mag pouches but any suggestions/comments from IPSC shooters and what they are using; pros/cons of certain brands would be appreciated.

I am all for CR versa mag pouch, wife, son and myself use them. Great stuff.:) Amadini-Ghost has the 360 mag pouch, but have not tried it.

Like that I can adjust the Guga Ribas mag pouches. CR speed is the staple of the IPSC community for belts,...and there holsters and mag pouches are top notch.
It comes down to personal preference. With the Guga, the inserts allow the use of my HK mags, and my Tanfoglio mags,...as well as my STI .40 mags (when I had an STI). IT has more inserts, so I think you could use Single stack mags as well.

I am using the Ghost for my tanfoglio,...although I had the Speedsec for my HK and StI. That being said, I think the Speedsec is limited more than the CR SPeed WSM2, in that you can use the CR holster for many different firearms,....the SPeedsec is made for individual firearms. (ie: you can't use it with different firearms, only the firearm it was made specifically for)
If I had to choose between the 3 (CR, GHost, and Speedsec), I would choose the Speedsec.

I have CR-Speed pouches and holster and Ghost pouches and hoster
(also a set of older Universal pouches), and like them all. All are on CR belts since they are the best, period. Each rig can be set up and adjusted or modified to do pretty much anything you want, so I wouldn't worry about having to compromise by choosing either one. Currently I'm using the Ghost holster and CR pouches because I needed to shim the pouches out from the body a bit to suit my mail box-like physique (see other thread on this issue). The Ghost pouches can't be shimmed out from the body but they are pretty good for most people and also made pretty tough. The reason I mention tough is in case you ever have to drop to prone and land on the pouches or have to roll over onto them. I've crushed a few different types in the past doing that, and now I look for stuff that stands up to serious abuse.

Guga Ribas is probably the most versatile, and Ghost is likely the cheapest.

I run Ghost because I'm cheap and they work well for me.
