Upgrades/updates for Lee Die Sets

This might sound like a weird one, but has anyone ever upgraded/updated their Lee die sets with parts from other manufacturers. I have picked up a few RCBS lock rings and found they work pretty good on the Lee die sets. I also see that Hornady makes a micrometer addition for their sets that I wonder if it might work in the Lee die sets.

Thoughts?

That works well, I've also used the RCBS lock rings on Forster dies because they are a bit more snug in the slot on my Forster Co-Ax press.

I don't think too many features will fit the other brands short of the lock rings.

Some seater plugs might be compatible.

For the price of dies I would suggest getting the type/brand you need for each specific job. I use Lee and other brands when and where I find them most useful.

Thats absolutely right and in some brands parts will not interchange between older dies and newer of the same make..
