Upgrading a Glock 22

Just recently traded an M&P 9 for a Glock 22 RTF2 which i wouldn't mind upgrading. So far it has fiber optic sights and a LW 40-9 conversion barrel. My question is what are some good upgrades for G22

Congrats. I love the RTF2 texture and wish it was common option for their lineup.

A 3.5 connector and spring kit would come to mind. If you want to splurge, trigger upgrade?

That and your FO front sights are all you really need. Anything else ( like stippling, beavertail, and recontouring) is not really urgent.
Spend the rest on a really good holster, a few more spare mags and ammo.

As of now I have a Blackhawk serpa and 3 mags in 40 my plan is to get around 3 more mags and a case of 9. I have some 40 but I don't foresee me shooting much of that because I don't think my wallet will appreciate it ha

Yup trinimon nailed it....lots of bits up-gradeable...trigger should be a must on your list...personally I love the zev tec magwells and weighted mag bases....

What kind of shooting do you want to do/plan on doing?

I have a full zev tech built glock 19, and while there are things that it's good at, there are some things that it sucks at. I have mixed feelings on these aftermarket featherweight triggers.

I run a 3.5lb double diamond connector, competition 6lb trigger spring, 3lb striker spring, reduced weight firing pin safety spring and a heavy tungsten guide rod. IMO the Zev triggers are a complete waste of money.

The Glock is far the worst mod gun. Once you #### with it, it never works right.

If you're thinking about getting into comp shooting you need to read up on the rules regarding what is allowed for upgrades. Certain upgrades can keep you out of certain groups, or force you into a class you don't want. Do not discard your OEM factory parts.

IMO for dicking around at the range, throw a better set of sights on it and spend the money on ammo instead.

For a competition gun, don't use a glock. There are better options.

IMO the Zev triggers are a complete waste of money.

I haven't had good luck with Zev triggers yet. I'll be on round 2 with one soon.

Can't speak for everyone, but I've got 100 rounds down the pipe of my Gen 4 22 with a 40-9 LW conversion barrel and haven't had any issues with the .40 extractor.

Ditto. I've got about 900rnds down my RTF2 with LW 40-9 barrel as well and no issues.

In that case, add a butt plug, Vicker's extended mag release, extended slide lock and takedown lever, titanium pins and a cool custom slide plate to the grocery list.
