Upgrading charging handle.

I have the raptor charging handle from OneShot and it is awesome (functionally and looks), the only problem I have is that sometimes very rarely the lever roll pins sometimes want to wiggle out and protrude out. Anyone have a solution to the pins tor just deal with it?

My vote goes to the PRI M84 Gasbuster charging handle. Supposed to redirect gas away from the shooter. I can't see how it would do this but then again I don't have a suppressor to test this with...

I would like to try the BCM.

For a clean looking, one-piece ambi handle with out any latches or pivots, check out the one from SLR Rifleworks. I like it, although I've only used it in a few matches so far. It uses a ball bearing to hold in place.

I also have a Raptor and can't really say anything bad about the function of it - just looks bulky

It wears out your upper... that's the new thing I heard.

No but it actually helps redirect excessive oiled guns instead of getting bukkake in the eye. I've had a hard look on both the Raptor & BCM and still don't see reason to switch.

Damn, this is just like the women I meet - the ones I think look good always turn out to have a fatal flaw!

I checked out that review and can see how that would happen. Mine appears to be ok right now but the possibility of wear is definitely something I will have to keep an eye on. I don't notice it being hard to pull though. Now my vote goes to the Raptor.

All they have to do with it is put a lighter detent spring on it...quick fix. Their idea is pretty good, and I could see this being somewhat of an improvement over latch-type charging handles. No latches or pins...less stuff to potentially break. But honestly, I don't think that this will become the new norm any time soon. Besides, with great charging handles from manufacturers like Rainier, BCM and PRI to name a few, the need for a new design is not really that necessary. Let me just say that I wouldn't trade my Raptors or BCMs for a detent style. The need to re-invent the wheel is simply redundant.
