I am looking to upgrade on my Lee Lock Stud & cutter pushed by a Dewalt.

Have been researching the higher end case trimmers. Looks like the Forster and the L.E. Wilson both make a good setup. Not sure if I will ever get into neck turning, just looking to trim nice and consistently. I am a hunter, not a long range bench shooter. I just like to fling good quality bullets under a MOA. Your opinions are appreciated! If anyone is lookign to sell their used unit send me a PM.

I was already a fan boy of most 21st Century Shooting products.
I already had one of their neck turning lathes, so when they came out with their 3 way trimmers I got one.
Guaranteed perfectly square cut because unlike most other trimmers. the case is being rotated onto the blade.

Like most other bench-rest grade reloading equipment its pricey... but I love mine.

I would not want their powered version though.
If their motor gave out it, then I suspect it wouldn't be ease to replace.
I just use a cordless, powered screwdriver at 200 RPM to do the job.
If it breaks, then I could just buy another for $70.

From my initial research it does seem that the L.E. Wilson and Sinclair Wilson makes a superior case trimmer. I assume that the wilson case holders are interchangeable among either of these units? Only problem is trying to find any in stock.... Is it fair to say that one must be sure to purchase a 'fired' case holder and not 'new'. I will be trim all fired brass and I don't will be buying any new brass in the distant future.

Yes they are interchangeable and you will use the fired case holder. This is where I bought mine and they are legal to ship to Canada. If you have any questions the guys are great on the phone.

I upgraded to an RCBS Trim Pro 2 this year, pretty happy so far. The universal case holder and 3 way cutter head make it a fast operation. The 3 way cutter is worth the 100 bucks for me.

For speed the Worlds Finest Trimmer 1 works extremely well, and they are very accurate.

I picked 2 up from EE, one in 308 and one in 223, as I needed to process a few thousand cases in each caliber in December.

Once set to trim to the correct length they don't need to be messed with at all.

They work extremely well when chucked up in a lathe and I suspect would work equally well in a drill press.

You still need to deburr and chamfer though.

One thing to keep in mind no matter which trimmer a person is using is the brass needs to be consistent before trimming. (as in headspace measurement)

If the trimmer is measuring off the shoulder and the headspace in long the finished brass will be long.

If the trimmer is measuring case overall length and the headspace is long the necks will be short and inconsistent tension will be present.

Frankford Arsenal Universal Precision Case Trimmer, covers all the calibers i have.

Also used Worlds Finest Trimmer but would be to expensive to keep buying for each caliber

Another vote for the RCBS Trim Pro 2, but the motorized version. I have one case each of everything I fire marked at the correct length to set for trimming to make adjusting the trimmer between calibres really fast. Much easier to use than the Lee case trimmers.

I have the Sinclair/L.E. Wilson Ultimate Trimmer & Platform Kit along with the Wilson Case Trimmer Power Adapter.
I also have The Dillon RT-1200 trimmer for bulk trimming of 223/5.56 and .308/7.62 x 51

I have used a Forster for many years, gave my son one for xmas. Still use it for small batches, have a Frankford Arsenal for large batches, love that machine when doing 223.
