Question

Do you think an stripped upper reciever for finshed cost of $240-$260 would sell 1000 units.

asking for a machinest.

Thanks

looking at my upper. I think pricing should be around $300-330.

I was basing it on a run of 120 pcs. I would love 2 more uppers.

1000 pcs, I think you are pushing it might not be the market for them, But maybe you should start talking with BCL, maybe you can make parts for them.....you might be quicker!

I don’t think there are 1000 BCL102 rifles in public hands yet. A smaller production run of 100-200 would probably be better. Ask $350-400 to make it worth his while.

Use 7075, get them anodized, don’t machine the port door pocket too large, drop the goofy round interface for the BCL handguard, and make sure aftermarket charging handles fit with out modifications. Maybe offer DPMS 1-7/16 - 16tpi barrel nut threads, instead of the Armalite 1-7/16 - 18tpi barrel nut threads, so we have more handguard options available to us. Or offer both barrel nut threads options. Maybe even offer a forward assist for those of us who want one.

Forward assist, normal looking shell deflector, lose the tabs behind the hand guard, proper sized ejection port, drop in compatibility with after market charging handles, DPMS threads, under $400 = perfection (IMO)

If these 102's are not compatible with an AR-10 then they are proprietary which means it is probably patented meaning you might want to look into the legalities before replicating the uppers.
There are only a couple hundred 102's in customer hands so I doubt a batch of 1000 is going to do well, other than that a finished stripped upper for under $300 should sell well.
