hey i am doing lots of research on my next shotgun which is 100% sure is going to be a beretta. i just want to know the ups and down and any differences between the two models if anyone knows alot about them. i just feel its a very well built gun. The kick-off within the stock is such a great idea, i love that feature but is it expensive/hard to fix? let me know beretta guru's
thanks, eric

I go with the extrema. Both have kick off and the extrema is pretty cheap because they are probably no longer have the model. Plus 3 and half inche vs 3 inche. Better for heavy goose loads.

Depends whether you want/need to use 3-1/2" shells. If you do then it's the Xtrema, if not the Urika.

However, you might want to take a look at the A400 Xplor. It's Berettas newest gun and they seem to be in the process of phasing the 391 out.

ok that makes sense, thanks for your help. i do lots of geese and duck so i guess i would lean towards xtrema. thanks for clearing that up. i think that A400 is out of my price range though

I do have beretta SV10 Prevail III, Urika AL391 , II, A302, and both extrema in camo.

For me;
Beretta SV10 III series are better off shootin sporting clays and skeet. just cause its $5000-6000 gun and would rather use Semi auto to load 1 in the barrel and 3 in the chamber.

Urika is also good for both sporting and hunting use cause of its price and reliability.
I personally use my modified urika for trap shooting. My $6000 dollar trap gun now sits in the storage because of modded $3000 dollar urika.
Very smooth feed with 3" shells.

Extrema with kick-off i have but semi auto having very minimal recoil, dont think you need a kick off system for more money. The gun is very light and quick to change targets hit after hit. I do use 3 1/2 steel shot without any recoil. I have seen new extrema with kickoff at around $1100 on firearmscanada but it was few months back.

hope ya find a good shotgun for your needs!
