US 1903 rebarrel question...

is it ok (IE no mods required) to put a 1903A3 barrel on a 1903 reciever? Have a fellow making a mock 1903A4 and he is using a 1903 reciever and would like to use my 1903A3 barrel....

Should be OK.

Barrel should go on just fine. Receiver is different, of course, in the bridge area. But a Leupold/Redfield/Burris base for an '03 would do the trick.

Thanks guy, I was pretty sure there should be no issues. I guess I was getting confused with a LE No4 barrel on a Smle MkIII, which is a no, no..

Yep. Remington did it with high serial numbered '03's during W.W. II.
