US ammo prices coming down -anything for us?

Pretty sad when even the Canadian military gets it's Canadian made ammo from an American company.

I guess we aren't smart enough to control our own resources....
 
The high price of ammo here in Canada will eventually do more to throw people off owning guns than any legislation. Perhaps thats a strategy???
 
i keep hearing the argument that some dealers don't want to tie up a bunch of money in ammo for it not to sell here as an excuse not to bring any in ..........



is there anyone that has ever brought any " surplus " ammo in and had to sit on it for any length of time before it is sold off ?

is there a single importer right now unable to sell ammo that they have brought into the country ?

if so , speak up and tell us what you have for sale .

Well I have been sitting on a good supply of Swiss GP11 7.5x55mm ammo. The price was pretty good and it was approved by NRCAN. But the demand here in Canada is not that great, so it is not worthwhile bringing in the whole shipment as it will sit for a year or more. If I look at bringing in a smaller shipment (say 4 months supply), the shipping costs amount to 50% of the ammo value. After a point it just makes more sense to ship it all to the US.
