So - lever is at $159 plus $50 shipping, CanAm is at 199 including shipping (from what his website says). I guess it comes down to where you are located when you're buying it. Also, looks likes discounts from CanAm.

I got the low down from a reliable source.
Its the US government that has stopped export of all 7.62x39(including hunting ammo) to other countries including Canada.So no more Win,Rem,Federal,or PMC hunting ammo for us.Canada can still import from other countries,but not alot that gets here is hunting ammo.

The upside is it should bring down prices of the mini-30s here(want one for my son) and I can always swing State side for a case of hunting ammo.

Sorry to pop your bubble......but SA 7.62x39mm is Berdan primed. You can still reload it, but it won't be easy.

I've only known the 7.62x51. And frankly, I'm not buying this ban on exporting 7.62x39 hunting ammunition from US manufacturers. Sounds like a steaming load to me, but hey I've been wrong before, just can't imagine this case though.
