Us f class nationals 2011 (PHOTOS UP)

Believe it or not.. 168 Matrix, magic combination, works in all weather, 190s would give pressure issues in the heat from the "little" .284s

they need horse power if you want to drive them to the 3000 fps+ node.

the BIG question.. pointed??

Keith - fyi - the other Canuks were GEORGE TREVOR MCMACKEN & MARK IWANOCHKO. Strange range and good company. Half way home now ...

The partial 1000yd results were tossed and only the 600yd results stood - we finished 4th of 10 FTR teams, 1 point out of second.

we finished 4th of 10 FTR teams, 1 point out of second.
Second and third place teams had 766 points, we had 765 points. Second place was decided by X count. It turns out our X count was the highest of any FTR team. But we're still fourth. That's the way it goes.

Cut and paste to your browser.Too large of file to post here.
Have not had a chance to label or comment on any BUT since it was a new camera and not water proof only nice weather pics are shown.
IMHO the Winnequah Range is one of the USA's most challenging ranges to start with.
Add to that unseasonably cold mornings, high humidity and winds that reached 30mph with rain...it was "interesting".
Frustrating that we could not include the 1000 yard scores on the FO team as we had a "better" thing going with 3 through the mess and 4th shooter with only 7 left to score when match was called due to rain storm (no lightening) which gave way to clear sunny skies 20 minutes later.Match directors and RSO make the call and I guess it looked pretty bad on radar.Tough call to make during a National Championship.
Was fortunate enough to have a paid marker so I could shoot.6 relays meant almost a "new" match every relay with up to 2 1/2 hours between shooting.
I must say we are somewhat spoiled here in Canada at the Nationals with trained target markers and enough targets available to run all on 1 relay.
Good to see some old friends and make some new ones. Thanks to our adopted Cdn for the weekend Jim S. who made entering the FO teams possible.
Maybe some of the other fellas that were there could add a few comments to the pics.
Next years match's are just a short winter away.
The World's F Class Championship's are in 2013 ...enough time to get practicing and prepared?
Regards
Gord

I thought I had a photo of him (Viper Bob ,The Avenging Angel) smiling at the squadding board the second day. Then I found out it was just a grimace and nashing of teeth ,so I deleted it.
He still manage to kick butt and those other looks are his "kick butt" and his "freezing my ass off here" looks I believe.
With the crazy weather and "just Fn Nuts" winds we had ,I'm sure there were some pretty strange faces starring over rifles on the line (including my own) .Glad there weren't any cameras in front of the line to record them.
Good times Bob. Winter well .......
Gord

Thanks Gord,

You get down here when you are rested. We can do some ribs on the grill. It felt more like home with you guys at the match. I just miss Tim Horton's chilli.
