US Hog hunt...

How far do you have to go south to get into some decent hog hunting? Oregon,California? What regulations and licensing requirements are there?

I was in Maui last year and they WELLCOME hunters ,goats,deer and hogs ...they are invasive species and they want them culled

All states are regulated differently..... For some, a license is not required......

While there are hogs in northern states and Canada, to get good hog density you have to go at least as far south as Oklahoma.....

There is a significant population if you go as far as Georgia. They are considered nuisance and the peanut farmers want them gone. The license costs $17. As an added bonus there are no time of day or weapon restrictions on them. AR-10's fully suppressed, with night vision are good to go.

Pretty sure Georgia is a lot closer than Maui! Higher hog densities are predominantly in the southern US states.

'Pretty sure Georgia is a lot closer than Maui' - not as much as you think....only about an hours flying time...hunt all year round, great swimming and great beaches,and WARM in the winter...but my preference would be Oregon or northern california,about a day's drive away
