The sight is the m1901 not the m1903 but it still has a peep sight. The first thing i did was check the bolt for any signs of cracks or wearing to the lug, it all looks fine to me and to a few others that have inspected it as well. The bore is in nice condition but i need to get some of the lead fowling out of it, the lands are shiny but between the lands its crudded up with what appears to be lead. Besides using mercury to clean it does anyone know of a good product to use that can be bought at the local hardware store?
