US Military to purchase 2.5 Million rounds of Russian 7.62 x 39 mm ball ammo

Given that a lot of guys on this forum can burn thru a case of surplus in a day at the range, with 5 round mags, I don't think a couple of thousand cases is going to last too long. Gotta remember these guys are using grown up mags and autos. Couple of big exercises and pffft all gone.

These are undoubtably destined for syria... dont kid yourselfs folks, afterall we armed them to fight the soviets during russia invasion in afghanistan, they then used those arms (which we gave them to fight the russians) against us in afghanistan. You are right out of it.... A large enough military like the US spends well over $500,000.00 a month on socks alone.

2.5mil rounds, or half a million dollars in ammo, is absoltely nothing in the world of military procurement. Barely a blip. Not news, certainly not a conspiracy.
 
...what about all those socks then? What are they up to? Is it an attempt to control the spandex, nylon, wool markets...are they stock piling socks for an Armageddon that "they" are about to pull the trigger on!?

Let me guess, the "boot procurement" numbers don't match the monthly sock count. THEY ARE UP TO SOMETHING!!

The Mysterious difference in the sock/boot count can easily be explained by the sock monkey's in the dryer that steal at least 10% of all socks going through said dryer's!! IT'S TRUE!!

Wait, what? Sock monkey's are protesting the fact that their ak's ammo has been fu<ked with by Assad, the Brotherhood and the Beach Boys!? Where does Russia fit into this...I'm confused?

Thank God we can still account for 90% of the socks is all I can say. (...and truth be told, I only wear 1 sock with my boots every 3rd Wednesday so things balance out for me;))
