How much can I expect to pay for a P-17 in great+ condition?
I sold one last year still in cosmo for 500 bucks. Has the price changed any?

If I had had $500 when you offered it I probably would have tried to buy it and been glad of the chance. I don't suppose there are many in that condition, though, so it isn't indicative of what most of them go for.

Why is the Model 1917 worth more than the Pattern 1914 rifle? From what I understand the M17 was produced in greater numbers than the P14...you'd think it would be the other way around?

I would suspect the caliber...30-06. To most shooters the 30-06 is an easy round to reload, plus the rifle is an incredibly accurate gun...almost on par with the M1903.
