Did a search and didn't see anything about this specific model. Surprisingly is seems to have recently been declared restricted. Sadly due to how long that process takes, Desert Ord is sold out. I wonder if Armtac got any in. Scared to ask the price.

"The Semi-Auto SAW’s are sold out and no more will be made. We do still have some replacement parts for repairs and warranty work."

A belt fed in 308.

Yup. Very few guns are restricted by name. If a semi auto long gun isn't prescribed as prohib or restricted, it all comes down to barrel length.

God I wish! If it is deemed restricted I'll be cashing investments and forking the Doe over to the importer. Fingers crossed. It's my all time favourite firearm. Especially the FDE E6.

I think considering the price already, it wouldn't be too far off to get an 18.5" barrel made for it. I can't really find any info on barrel lengths on their website, but they do list a "Light" "Heavy Fluted" and "Long" barrel with the long barrel being 2 or 3 inches longer than the shortest one.... So it's possible there is already an 18" or 20" barrel for it.


Pretty damn cool though, too bad they're so expensive

As it's a 5.56 of fairly recent design, I'm guessing the belt would be limited to 5 rounds?

Yes. Belts for 223/556 are designed post 1944. Pre 1945 belts are not limited.
