Looking for some info on a US&S 1911.
Slide has been replaced with a early post ww2 commercial slide. Gone saw time at Springfield armoury as per the SA stamp on the frame. Just wondering what kind of value the pistol has and if anyone has any ideas as to where to find a US&S slide in Canada. All other parts look original minus the spring plug.
Slide is marked "C" under the firing pin retainer, any idea what the "C" means?
