USA Manufactured bolts in Norinco M305

yes..... and a canadian company will soon be making new manufacture forged m14 bolts to usgi specs..... but i can say no more on that one.

ALL usgi m14 parts require export approval from state department...... if they are coming from the us.
a warning to those thinkin they will just buy em, smuggle em in and sell em off on the internet :D

I'm with 45 ACPking on this one... we ain't saying anything at all. Just don't smuggle them. Not worth getting in trouble for.

This is a wonderful opportunity for Canadian ingenuity to step up. We do have the brainpower and the technology. Trust me....

Cheers,
Barney

I'm only privvy to the knowledge that they are coming........... I am not the guy making it happen, no pricing or timeline has been given.
BUT .... there are many capable folks out there that are rising to the call ...... it just takes time and huge $$$ to make it happen

You should bring them with you when you do your clinics, that way the end user can have all the fitting done (and the people who didn't buy get jealous :p)

If someone here in Canada makes a quality bolt, oprod and any main part, I will buy...not that I need but I'll support that venture.

I'm down with Canadian parts in a Canadian design!

When will we have all Canadian manufactured m14's with hammer forged barrels?

Canada with its brain power should manufacture its own firearms here under Canadian brands, not like the Canadian manufactured Savage rimfire rifles which technically are US Savage rifles. My big brother is an engineer. I told him to design new firearms and then work on permits to get them into production. I just don't suppose permits is a simple matter but I say it is possible.....

someone should send Gaillard barrels a M14 barrel to copy .... or one of the other canadian barrel makers

Build it.... your customers will come

the biggest problem i have had is my pockets just aren't deep enough to get the ball rolling on so many of the ideas i have down hehehe I'm slowly getting there, with some new items coming soon. no barrels bolts or oprods though hehehe, that's a lil beyond my skill set right now.

I used to draft up blueprints for my employment some years ago and have not lost those skills. If some enterprising local gun nut with some time and the right machines wants to make some very cool stuff that will sell like crazy..... move to Langley, b.c. and give me a call. :D Most local guys that are capable of making this stuff are tied up with other projects.

I started with stocks over a year ago..... with no end to the orders in sight...... the canadian firearms market is currently a barely wet sponge just waiting to get saturated by canadian made products.
I've been preachin this for over 3 years now..... just for the m14
things are slowly happening

45ACPKING, I would appreciate it if you would be kind enough to be specific about what parts would be in demand.

Which stocks, which firing pins????

Thanks,

Dan

i am talking about parts and accessories for ALL firearms..... current and new designs.
right now i am sitting on several designs for products for various firearms that are NOT on the market or are simply "unobtainium" :D and whose patents ran out long ago.

for the m14....
gas plugs, pistons, firing pins/springs, extractors, front sight equiped muzzle brakes
but the thirst in canada goes way beyond the m14.
do i really need to spell it out?
build it , they will buy :D

here is a bit of silly, yet sage advice that i took to heart several years ago when an employer of mine offered me some side work. He said, Thomas..... i got rich following this principle...... money is like dust bunnies, hiding in the corners and crannies waiting to be swept up into a neat little pile...... now look around you and see what i turned that pile into....." as he waved at the shop before us...... from that day on I have kept those words close. Every entrepreneur endeavoring to make a go of things should repeat that quote every morning when they wake up :D

I am highjacking the thread but 45ACPKING, you had M14 stock project close to completion, I believe. I am looking for a stock to replace my chu-wood. One of the guys at the Burlington clinic brought his M14 with a black stock he said he bought from you. Is it one of the ones you actually made? Either way, I liked it.

Hi Guys. With reference to the M14 parts issues.I remember John from Marstar talking about having a quantity of m14's sitting off shore. If there is such a large demand surly he would be attempting to fill the gap. I've tried a few times to buy parts direct from him but have gotten no where. So I just bought a couple M14s to keep for spares.Solves the problem for me. Is there really that huge of a demand for op rods, bolts etc.I haven't heard of too many problems with most of the Norinco m14s that couldn't be repaired with some tweeking.

well.... I've asked for a dealer application and have had no response. I'm sure site admin has thier hands full and will get to me in due time.
I am not taking orders for stock for another 3 weeks as i've had a shipping glitch with canada post and my new business account AND i am not yet a dealer.... so you could say i am in a holding pattern :D
I do however welcome any questions you may have by P.M.

I had the chance to get a few USGI bolts about 3 years ago. Went through all the paperwork on both sides of the border.... it's a long process.... I wanted them beacuse my intent was to reload MATCH ammo fo the lady......

I would proudly buy Canadian though!
