My girlfriend and I had the opportunity to try out a Heckler & Koch USC yesterday. Thanks to the owner of this gun - you know who you are.

I won't do a formal review, other than to say that this thing is really, really fun to shoot. It is soft shooting and accurate. I was even able to hit the 220 yard gong within a few attempts at it (aim about 3 feet high, basically exactly the same technique as shooting the gong with my 7" 9mm AR. I thought I would have to aim even higher for .45ACP, but it is actually about the same).

Great gun. I'd love to have one of these. All USC seem scare these days. The 5 round mags and the cost of the ammo of the two main points against it vs. a 9mm AR, but that cocking handle is such a major plus! So fun to use that!

Great pics and vid!

that 5 round limit really ruins the excitement, I wanted to see 30 rounds go through it...

By the way what conversion is that? Hera?

I think it is H.E.R.A., I forgot to ask him. He will be chiming in on this thread any minute now.

I saw you guys at the range. I was jealous.

What is the price and availability for this gun in Canada?

If you see me there next time, feel free to come over and say hi. I usually have some interesting gear with me that you are welcome to try if you have some ammo. The owner of this USC is very easy to get along with as well. I just bought a couple boxes of .45ACP to try out the USC and the Valtro 1911 that is also new in my Youtube videos. That Valtro is quite the pistol.

The USC's were semi-commonplace in the shops 2-3 years ago... always the grey ones. The people that have them must really like them, because it seems that they never come up in the EE. They were selling around $2,000 in the stores.

There have been a few black ones around as well, but they sell fast. I imagine that at some point Canadian sellers will get another run of black USCs. Every shop that has had them on order will get 1 or 2. They'll either be pre-sold or will get snapped up right away. The process then repeats.
