Hi, just wondering what the differance is between the H&K USC and H&K UMP ? Both are chambered in .45 acp . Do they both take the same mags? Is there a folding stock avaliable for the USC ? Could A USC be changed to a UMP ?

USC and UMP mags are totally different...USC mags are like really big single stack pistol mags. There is no after market folding stock for the USC...it would be pretty tough anyway considering the buttstock molds into the pistol grip.

Conversions are possible, but some tough to come by parts are required to do a nice conversion. smgcon on this forum did one that looked very nice to me.

I just dyed mine black and got all the rails...it was a great pistol caliber carbine and very accurate. It felt very nice to fire, but really it was totally unlike a UMP.

It has since left my collection, but I have fond memories.:)

USC is the civilian version of the UMP. AFAIK the differences are mostly cosmetic - stock, barrel length etc. Similar to the differences between the G36 and the SL-8.

I don't think theres a lot of UMP's in Canada but there may be kits available to dress up the UMP - Like the SL-8.
