Use A Guncase!!

I was at a gun store. the gentleman in front of me was leaving with his buddy. right at the door the clerk calls the guy to stop and get his credit card. he stops and his new gun's barrel get slammed in the door.

Ouch for sure. What ticks me off is when I look after my stuff so well and somebody else marks it up. I had a beauty of a Superposed Broadway Trap years ago, was as close to NIB as they come. A guy at the club jokingly threw an empty hull at me and it bounces off the stock my cherry Superposed leaving a big white mark in the finish.......arggggghhh!!!! I shoot a Golden Clays XT now and it rides in a Pelican hard case with cutouts in the foam for a nice snug fit.

Mine's nowhere near as bad, or damaging, but took some friends out skeet shooting last fall and after one of my lady friends gives it a try, she puts the gun down and leans on it like a walking cane, in soft mud, muzzle down. It sank about 8 inches. muzzle was jammed real good. End of shooting day.

I couldn't help laughing when I read that one!

Thanks Captain!

Lol now you can post it on EE, afghan war bring back still in great condition, shoots true. Of course im just kidding. Sorry to hear that. Now you know what to do.

Man I'm stupid sometimes (ok, a lot of the time)...

So I get hurrying. Get to the driveway, and I'm grabbing stuff hauling it into the house. Got my right hand full, open the passenger door with my left hand and crap!! My CZ had slid over to the door, so as soon as I open it, out it comes. And I can't do anything, it happened so quick, plus I got sh*t in my right hand...

The gun landed, I think on the muzzle, then the scope bounced off the pavenment, stock did a little pavement dance...

So yeah, I'm an idiot and should've had the gun in a hard case, then nothing happens. I haven't been able to bring myself to examine the gun & scope...

Time for someone to take the PAL course and test again. How did the firearm get from the trunk to the passenger door? Why were your hands full of other items while trying to handle firearms? Hopefully this turned out to be a valuable and possibly expensive lesson for you. The results of your unsafe practices are quite deserving. Safe handling and transport of firearms is paramount in this hobby.

Oh my. Perhaps you can explain why the firearm needed to be in the trunk? And how dropping a proven safe firearm is unsafe?

I'm looking for a nondescript rifle case for the motorcycle... I wonder if this would work...

GP40-2W,
You don't have to have a rifle in the trunk or in a case, legally, when transporting. I don't know what you've been reading. He might have made a mistake dropping his rifle but he didn't break any laws. And like he said, it was proven safe, so how is that unsafe?

I've fondled a couple at gun shows, retail on em is around $75... Not overly impressed with the stitching so haven't dropped the cash on one... My concern is the zipper seam will bust and the guns will fall out...

The 5.11 covert bag and backpack are very low profile, built to carry your M4 on public transport without raising any red flags.
