Use a SR40 mag in an SR9?

Several 9mm pistols can accept .40 cal magazines loaded with 9mm. This of course is a perfectly legal way to have a few extra rounds when at the range.

Does anyone know if Ruger's SR9 can accept the SR40 mags? A google search turned up nothing.

One thread was called -13 rounds in a Ruger SR9. No one said why it didn't work but it didnt.

Too bad. Doesn't look like they can be altered either. Besides, doing that would likely make it unusable in the SR40 and then would probably get me into legal trouble. Not worth it.

it works in the berretta 92fs/a1 and in a glock 17 I have both the Beretta holds 14 9mm in a 40cal magazine and the glock holds 13 both function perfectly

Anybody know if that works for m&p 9mm with a .40 mag
