Use of Moisin-Nagant Tool Kit

Can anyone explain the use of the various parts of the Moisin-Nagant tool kit?

Particularly, what are the three small slots in the edge of thecombination tool used for?

Is there a reason for the cutout in the middle of the combination tool?

41) The tool pictured is used for working on the bolt and as a general purpose screw driver. The two small cut-outs pointed out in figure 41 and labeled as "95" and "75" (on most tools - some are not labeled) are the maximum (95) and minimum (75) heights that the striker should protrude from the bolt face.

Ok, cool. But what about the other tools. I don't understand how they are used either. And I'm still confused over the SVT-40 tool. I thought it was for breakdown purposes too, but aside from one use, I haven't figured it out either.

The 'teardrop' screwdriver tool with the slots I just described, the oil bottle is pretty self-explanatory, there's probably a bore brush in there, likely a cleaning jag too (looks like a ribbed screw of sorts), the heavy little bit that looks like a thimble is a muzzle protector, the hollow cylinder that's longer and lighter than the muzzle protector (if memory serves me correctly) is used in conjunction with the long piece of metal (that looks like a screw but isn't the jag) to attach to the end of the cleaning rod to make the rod usable
