I just inherited a Winchester model 1300 Pump 12ga that was manufactured prior to 1990. Can I use modern steel shot in this shotgun as I have heard that some older shotguns should not fire steel shot from them?
does it have fixed chokes or screw in chokes. If the later then yes if it is fixed not really advisable to do so , either seek out a gunsmith that can tap it for chokes or get it honed out to mod and you should be good to go
