does any benchrest shooter sell his old rest to buy new? I don't find them on the EE boards. New prices are pretty scary.

Could always build one yourself?? If you do a search, theres a few threads from guys that have built their own with pics to look at as well.

Keep an eye on Ebay.com, 6BR.com, Benchrest Central and other US shooting forums. Most US private sellers will ship to Canada. Over the last couple of years I've picked up a Cowan and a Sinclair rest for good prices.

Front rests run the gamut from cheapies (the red MTM jobs) to pricey units like the Sinclair jobs. For years I used one that my dad made me out of wood. Vertically adjustable and steady enough (though not perfect). Last Christmas he bought me a Sinclair rest. Now to find someone to carry the damned thing for me!
