dudes just trying to get all their money back outta them.... :runaway:

I picked up a used/excellent Glock 17 9mm [2nd gen] for $400 plus taxes from a dealer...

It wasn't that long ago that dealers were selling Glocks for $1000 each.

In fact, Glocks seem to be the only pistols that have come down in price (as they should have). I'm just speculating, but it is probably due to the fact that so many people buy Glocks, so the sellers are in constant competition to have the best deals. Mark is probably key in making Glocks more affordable for the masses; I know I've bought half a dozen from him :)

Anyway, yeah, the seller could have paid $900 after taxes in which case I can understand his asking price :p
Buy new :) - Taxes and shipping depending on where you live do add up.

wow 639 plus tax for a g17 quite good 739 tax in for a sparkling new pistol tempting...........why in the hell would i pay 700 for a used one:confused:

Umm, because not long ago a new glock was 900-1000 and the used market hasn't quite adjusted yet... As said one post before you...

generally Glocks don't lose much in price .
Why , I'll never know .
But right now I would think Glock is losing a ton of market share to a variety of other polymer guns . Having a " dated " look plus being a couple of hundred more than newer style guns would not be a place anyone would want their company in .
Glock prices are now ( at 639 ) equal to the M&P , my guess is if sales continue to decline they will further cut pricing to bolster sales . It will take some time for this to play out , ultimately anyone who bought a glock for 900 to 1000 bucks is not going to be happy with what they can get for their used pistol .
the market will adjust in time .

Most action figures i've seen that have been used aren't worth their original value..

plastic gets pretty worn out over time.

If I were to get a Glock I sure wouldn't pay any more than 500 for it. new or used.

here's a realistic stab at why prices of common guns are slowly going down. as in the case of glocks, m&p's, atc.....

as dealers sell stock and replace with new stock, they are getting a better pirce due to our dollar being much higher these days.

as for the guys who want 700 for a used gen 3 glock........ ####'em. i payed 709 for my M&P brand new, and even if i had never fired it, you can still find them brand new for a lot less. get over it.

Exactly! If you're in the market for a used Glock and it is priced higher or the same as a new one why moan about it? Just go buy a new one..............

Just purchased a new G-17

total damage?

$722.92 nights sights, taxes in, shipped to my DOOR

take out the night sights, shipping and taxes you have a pistol that is under $600 dollars.

$700 is too much for a used g-17

I like XD/M&P etc because I am all about low glock prices. Come out with something newer and more complicated that the unwashed (j/k) masses will buy and drive glock prices down in line with norinco, then I will start an armoury:dancingbanana:

it has nothing to do with the M&P
There is not one and only 1 importer for glock in canada from civieand LEO sales. i think that has more to do with it.
That and the US$ in in the Tank.
Remmber a glock in the us is only $399.00 same price soem of you are paying for your norincos!!!
Nont talk to me about over priced.
